Screenshot Blur is a Chrome extension that helps you blur sensitive information in screenshots. We take your privacy seriously. This policy explains what data we collect and how we use it.

Data Collection

Screenshot Blur does NOT collect, store, or transmit any of your data.

• All image processing happens locally in your browser
• No screenshots are uploaded to any server
• No browsing data is collected or tracked
• No analytics or tracking tools are used

Local Storage

The extension uses chrome.storage.local to store:

• Installation date - Used to track the 7-day Pro trial period
• License key - If you purchase Pro, your license key is stored locally to verify your Pro status
• Toolbar position - Your preferred toolbar position on the page

All data is stored only on your device and is never transmitted to any server.

Permissions

The extension requests the following permissions:

• activeTab - To take screenshots of the current tab
• scripting - To inject the blur toolbar into web pages
• storage - To save your settings locally
• host_permissions (<all_urls>) - To work on any website you visit

Third-Party Services

When you purchase a Pro license, payment is processed through Creem.io. Your payment information is handled by Creem and is not accessible to us. Please refer to Creem's Privacy Policy for details.

License Verification

When you enter a license key, the extension sends the key to Creem's API for verification. Only the license key is transmitted. No personal data or browsing information is sent.

Children's Privacy

This extension does not knowingly collect any information from children under 13.

Changes to This Policy

We may update this privacy policy from time to time. Changes will be reflected in the "Last updated" date above.
